"Love Me Once again" is a hit song by English singer John Newman. The vocal was released every bit a digital download in Europe on 17 May 2013, except for the Great britain where it was released on thirty June 2013 as the atomic number 82 single from his debut studio album, Tribute (2013). Background [edit]

In an interview with Digital Spy, Newman was asked if he sensed that the song had something special about it in the studio. He said, "Yeah. The guy I wrote it with (Steve Booker), we turned effectually and had massive grins on our faces thinking, 'There's something adept here'. But you lot simply never know how skilful information technology is, you know?".

Newman was as well asked if it was difficult to write the lyrics nearly dearest and break-up, he said, "No, it's the only place where I actually open up to somebody, through my music. I'm producing [the album] and writing it, it's expert. I like to keep a concord of everything".^[ii]

With the chord progression of Gm—Bb—Dm—C, the vocal is written in the key of Thou Dorian. The key signature is in D small. Both are modes of F major, of which either one can be used as the tonic notation/chord, considering, however, the F major chord is not present in the song.^[3]

Music video [edit]

Two music videos, both with elements of Northern soul dancing, accept been released for "Love Me Once again". 1 version^[4] directed by Vaughan Arnell is based on the archetype beloved story of Romeo and Juliet.^[5] The adult female in the video, Juliet, is French actress Margaux Billard, carefully watched over by her brother, Tybalt, played past Joseph Steyne. The Romeo, is British model Tommy-Lee Winkworth. This video ends in a cliffhanger equally they get run over by a truck and their fate remains unknown till Newman's follow-up single "Cheating", which starts with a newspaper article indicating that they had indeed survived the crash, which was a hit-and-run blow.

In popular culture [edit]

"Love Me Once again" was featured on the soundtrack of video game FIFA xiv,^[viii] giving information technology a cult status among FIFA fans, as well as the Federation's #WorldCupAtHome series, which opened FIFA's annal during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also appeared in the closing credits of the 2014 science fiction film, Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Prowl and Emily Blunt. The song was also featured on the American Tv set series, Suits in the episode, "Buried Secrets", which aired on half dozen March 2014, and in the opening scenes of the get-go episode of season four, "One-Two-Three Go", which aired xi June 2014. "Dearest Me Again" is also a playable song in Merely Dance 2015. The song was also used every bit the theme to the television evidence Whiskey Cavalier which debuted in Feb 2019 and ended in May later one season.^[9] In August 2020 and May 2021 it was used in TV and radio adverts for National Rail.
